A Set of Six Late 19th Century Mahogany Dining Chairs

With looped and reeded backs, with carved paterae depicting the crest of the Knatchbull-Hugessen family (a known family related to Mountbattens, with extensive diplomatic and ambassadorial history) on reeded sabre legs, and worn red leather seats. Most probably hailing from the family seat, Mersham le Hatch in Kent, a house well known for its connections with Chippendale.
