A Pair of Late 18th Century Faux Bamboo Armchairs, with Caned Drop in Seats
Attributed to Linnell, c. 1770.
A remarkably similar set was made for Shardeloes, by Linnell, in 1767 which furthers this visual attirbution; invoiced as ten ‘neat bamboo chairs with loose seats’ supplied for William Drake, Shardeloes, Buckinghamshire.
