An 18th Century Giltwood Oak Leaf Mirror, c.1765
Typical of the naturalistic, free-form mirrors produced by makers such as John Linnell of London and the Booker Brothers of Dublin. A pleasingly bucolic design, wreathed oak branches bound with ribbons, the giltwood sensitively restored to a soft, dry, gleaming surface. With a later, foxed mirror plate.
